THE BETTIE LOTT AND VERA TIMES PUBLIC HEALTH SCHOLARSHIP
The Bettie Lott and Vera Times Public Health Scholarship honors the lifelong dedication of Bettie and Vera, two public health nurses who devoted their careers to improving community well-being. Their children, Vincent and Tracy, founded BeVera Solutions LLC, a company that provides mission-critical technical and professional support services to address public health challenges. BeVera Solutions specializes in public health support services, including but not limited to epidemiology, data analysis, health communications, IT support, and technical writing. Additionally, BeVera Solutions is one of the nation's leading workforce data science trainers, having provided over 10,000 person-hours of training to researchers and scientists at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
To continue their legacy, Vincent and Tracy established the Bettie Lott and Vera Times Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity which provides direct support to meaningful causes. This scholarship is designed to support high school seniors pursuing a career in public health, ensuring that passionate students have the resources to make an impact in the field.
Any high school senior at a school in Clayton County, Georgia, who is pursuing public health or a related field (epidemiology, nursing, medicine, research, etc.) may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they have a passion for community health and public service.
